About the Role:

The Financial Coach will work closely with clients to assess their financial needs and develop personalized financial action plans. This will involve providing one-on-one coaching and counseling on topics such as budgeting, banking, credit, and taxes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the U.S. credit and banking system and be able to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess client needs and develop individual financial action plans
  • Provide 1:1 financial coaching and counseling on budgeting, banking, credit, and taxes
  • Make referrals and integrate wraparound supports to achieve greater results
  • Develop and deliver educational workshops on financial topics
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop outreach strategies and integrate with community resources
  • Track participant attendance, data, and outcomes in required databases
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree preferred; or combination of equivalent years of education and related work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with financial education, counseling, and coaching required; minimum of 2 years' experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with people of varied backgrounds
  • High level of comfort working in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and computer literacy
