Job Description for Industrial Machine Maintenance Manager

The Industrial Machine Maintenance Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of mechanics and handymen/women.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong mechanical and/or electrical background, with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience. They will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex machinery and equipment
  • Overseeing building repair and maintenance, including identifying and resolving issues with fire prevention systems, light carpentry work, and handyman tasks
  • Scheduling and coordinating outside service calls
  • Evaluating, coaching, and training employees
  • Designing and improving preventative maintenance plans
  • Managing inventory of spare parts

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills, as well as strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities will include:

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Extensive mechanical and/or electrical experience
  • 5 years of managerial experience
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong work ethic and ability to set and achieve personal goals
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Reader
  • Ability to read and understand dimensioned drawings
  • Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and machinery, including:
    • Punch presses
    • CNC machines
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
    • Resistance welding machines
    • Lathes
