Encore Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Babylon, NY. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, programming, testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Install, service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot basic and complex fire alarm systems with limited or no supervision.
- Coordinate with contractors, customers, building maintenance personnel, and office personnel to execute daily workload.
- Identify code issues and non-conformance issues.
- Make recommendations regarding system installation improvements.
- Respond to and complete troubleshooting and repairs on assigned customer systems.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with occasional overtime hours at night, on weekends, and at a moment's notice for emergency calls.
- High school diploma required; industry experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, Fire Alarm System Theory, OSHA Requirements, and Industry Standards for Fire Alarm systems installation.
- Experience with various system manufacturing, including Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Firelite, etc.
- Salary commensurate with experience, with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role.
- Paid tuition for Fire Protection related schooling required to obtain licensing.
