Job Summary:

As a Phlebotomy Admissions Coordinator at Baptist Health, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients of all ages in a timely manner for laboratory testing. This role requires proficiency in blood collection techniques, such as venipuncture and capillary puncture, as well as a deep understanding of proper specimen handling and infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood samples from patients via the appropriate location and method.
  • Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment.
  • Use Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to manage patient information and specimen tracking.
  • Coordinate patient registration and information to ensure smooth specimen flow.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
