The role of the full-time Instructor of Nursing encompasses responsibilities in both the Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing Programs. This includes overseeing clinical education, mentoring adjunct faculty, and contributing to various health-related courses and activities scheduled during evenings and weekends.

ASU-Beebe is devoted to enhancing educational experiences and promoting student success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and review assigned lesson plans.
  2. Deliver engaging lessons to students.
  3. Evaluate and grade student assessments and assignments.
  4. Provide academic advising to students.
  5. Supervise students throughout their clinical education.
  6. Collaborate with supervisors on nursing education materials.
  7. Procure necessary supplies for instructional purposes.
  8. Address issues related to instructional materials with supervisors.
  9. Oversee clinical care provided by students.
  10. Assign clinical tasks based on students' competencies.
  11. Calculate and record student grades.
  12. Engage in curriculum development and updates with faculty and administration.
  13. Participate in nursing faculty meetings and departmental discussions.
  14. Travel to various campuses and clinical sites for teaching and meetings.
  15. Assist students with clinical procedures performed on patients.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in Arkansas, an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
