Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associate to join our team at La Quinta Inn & Suites Powell. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and disinfect hotel rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways to ensure a clean and healthy environment for our guests.
  • Cart Management: Maintain an orderly cart with clean linens, towels, toiletry items, cleaning and disinfecting supplies, broom, dust pan, and mop.
  • Room Preparation: Prepare rooms for guests by replacing soiled linens and towels, disinfecting bathroom surfaces, dusting or wiping down all surfaces, sweeping and mopping all floors.
  • Supply Replenishment: Replenish room supplies, toilet paper, soap, trash liners, and other essential items.
  • Waste Management: Empties wastebaskets and transports other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Guest Services: Notify the General Manager of any maintenance issues, leftover guest belongings, and bags.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager and Head Room Attendant to ensure a smooth and efficient housekeeping operation.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or apartment setting preferred.
  • Certifications: Blood Borne Pathogen Certification and OSHA Certification preferred.
  • Skills: Quality Inspection process, Room Ready Inspection Experience, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Continuous standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, moving about, and lifting furniture/furnishings.
  • Frequently bends, kneels, and crouches.
  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, pushing, wiping.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals (cleaning materials), odors, dirt, and dust.
