Your Role

As the Director of Global Pricing, you will be instrumental in establishing a pricing team at Under Armour. Reporting directly to the VP of Global Planning, you will be a key partner in the business, responsible for challenging and supporting the leadership team, anticipating business challenges, and facilitating informed decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for the global pricing function, including analytics, processes, and tools to elevate Under Armour's pricing strategy.
  • Possess a robust understanding of data analytics, particularly in relation to pricing strategies such as price elasticity.
  • Utilize best-in-class pricing tools and analytics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence models, to set MSRP, evaluate promotional effectiveness, and optimize markdowns.
  • Lead the ongoing enhancement of the data collected and analyzed for pricing purposes.
  • Drive the development of initial ticket pricing models for key categories, delivering data-driven pricing recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate closely with global category teams to influence initial ticket pricing during the market launch process.
  • Continuously improve the tools and capabilities necessary for setting markdown prices.
  • Create a comprehensive roadmap for promotional analysis and execution.
  • Ensure that key pricing objectives are achieved within Under Armour's market launch process and enhance visibility of pricing at critical meetings.
  • Provide insights to Marketing regarding category responsiveness to promotions and recommend featured products.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners through strong relationships.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating product strategies.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Capability to mentor junior team members and cross-functional partners.
  • Bachelor's degree with approximately 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with around 10 years of relevant experience.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to convert findings into actionable strategies and processes.
  • Experience in analyzing large data sets using data structuring and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Workplace Location

  • This position requires the individual to reside within a reasonable commuting distance from our global headquarters.
  • Work Designation: 3 days in-office, with the remainder of the week remote.
  • Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel (approximately 5%).

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $165,000 to $227,488.80 USD. Most new hires are positioned within this range, with opportunities for growth over time. Initial salary placement is based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Under Armour is committed to supporting our teammates' success and career advancement.
