Position Overview

The Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Field Service Representative plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and routine servicing of MPD surface equipment and other rental tools, both in the workshop and on-site. This position is essential for driving business growth through the promotion of Weatherford's products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute installation services for MPD surface equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in calculating fundamental oil industry metrics, including volumes, pressures, and forces.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of field operations, encompassing drilling, surface equipment, cementation, and pore pressure.
  • Effectively operate on drilling rigs and offshore environments.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on company-owned rental equipment as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of job reports.
  • Assist in shop operations and make deliveries when necessary.
  • Be available on a 24-hour call basis to address customer needs.
  • Adhere to Weatherford's Quality Policy and comply with all Quality Systems Manual requirements, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
  • Understand and follow all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Deliver work assignments with the highest quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor within the job's physical constraints.
  • Utilize MPD software to apply Surface Back Pressure in real-time for deepwater wells.
  • Maintain the MPD hydraulic model and rig system network.
  • Uphold Weatherford's network security standards.
Essential Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of relevant field experience.
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of products.
  • Mechanical aptitude for performing repairs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Collaborative team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Managed Pressure Drilling.
  • Familiarity with Rotation Control Devices.
  • Experience in offshore deep-water operations.
