We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Board of Directors as a member. As a key governance leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of Restless Development USA.
Key Responsibilities- Act as an ambassador for Restless Development, promoting its values and goals to inspire support from philanthropic networks.
- Contribute financially to the organization through a give/get model, and identify and initiate funding opportunities with major donors, corporate partners, and foundations.
- Attend and actively engage during virtual quarterly board meetings and an annual in-person retreat.
- Participate in prospective donor meetings, moderating and hosting events on behalf of Restless Development.
- Oversee management of the annual budget and guide the organization in generating substantial annual revenue.
- Ensure effective board operations, smooth transitions, and decision-making to bring maximum impact and sustainability to youth-led development programs and initiatives.
- Deep knowledge and interest in international development and recognizing the transformative potential of young people.
- Strong networking abilities, adept at cultivating philanthropic relationships.
- Experience in initiating fundraising strategies or in playing a significant role in the early stages of a startup.
- Established networks within corporate stakeholders, foundations, bi and multilateral funding agencies, with a readiness to leverage these connections.
- Brings new ideas and expertise.
As a member of our Board of Directors, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Restless Development USA, while also developing your skills and expertise in governance, fundraising, and leadership.
