Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in embedding quality into our manufacturing processes. This position involves translating customer needs into actionable quality standards and documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Interpreting customer specifications and effectively communicating them during the quotation phase.
  • Developing PFMEA and corresponding control plans based on customer requirements.
  • Creating and updating master production work instructions.
  • Managing return material authorizations (RMA) in response to customer complaints.
  • Conducting risk assessments for both internal and external failures.
  • Utilizing data to construct rationales for addressing failures.
  • Formulating rework plans as necessary.
  • Generating and approving deviations and waivers.
  • Qualifying new and modified manufacturing processes (PPAP).
  • Investigating customer complaints and warranty claims to determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Updating Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
  • Assisting with external audits from customers or regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitating root cause analysis across departments.
  • Providing leadership to the quality team in collaboration with the Quality Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with ISO9001 or IATF16949 standards.
  • Preferred certifications include Six Sigma Greenbelt and/or Lean manufacturing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering, particularly in plastics manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead team initiatives.
  • Familiarity with QC measurement tools, GD&T, CMM layouts, and capability studies.
