Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Plastic Executive Recruiters. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, your role will involve ensuring product quality, implementing quality assurance measures, and driving continuous improvement in the plastics manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement industry-specific quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality protocols.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Design and implement quality control plans, including inspection criteria and test methods to ensure product integrity.
- Monitor process performance using statistical techniques to identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.
- Train employees on quality assurance principles and practices to ensure a culture of quality within the organization.
- Conduct supplier quality assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements and address quality-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in the plastics manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the extrusion or film industry, with a strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus, with a strong understanding of process improvement techniques.
