Position Overview: Apparel Sourcing Manager
Objective:
The Apparel Sourcing Manager plays a vital role in enhancing cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency within our global supply chain for apparel products. This position is essential for supporting our strategic growth, particularly in managing our licensed brands. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with our organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive global sourcing strategy that aligns with business goals while optimizing cost, quality, and lead times.
- Oversee the entire sourcing process, from identifying potential suppliers and negotiating contracts to managing production and ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new and reliable suppliers globally, focusing on key regions.
- Assess new and existing suppliers based on quality standards, pricing, production capabilities, and compliance with ethical labor practices.
- Negotiate and finalize supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
- Supervise production and maintain relationships with factories to ensure adherence to specifications and quality control standards.
- Analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement pricing optimization strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments.
- Stay informed on global trade regulations, import/export procedures, and industry trends in apparel sourcing.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in apparel sourcing, preferably in a global context.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sourcing strategies that enhance cost efficiency and product quality.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PLM-related software.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience managing complex data sets.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- A passion for the apparel industry and a keen attention to detail.
