Job Overview

Position Summary

Responsible for executing tasks associated with transforming raw produce into a finished juice product. Responsibilities encompass moving produce bins through various stages of the processing line, managing the wash line, sorting out substandard produce, and operating the drum and press machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the wash line efficiently, including equipment such as Bin Dumper, Grinder, and Juice Press.
  • Manage the Drum processing line (Fluidor) effectively.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow instructions with a strong focus on detail.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines while in the facility.
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Comprehensive understanding of production workflows, quality assurance, and safety regulations.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards for food and beverage production (GMP).
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving production atmosphere.

Knowledge:

  • Forklift operation experience is advantageous.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to collaborate across different departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a refrigerated manufacturing facility with temperatures below 40°F. Tasks may also be conducted in a dry warehouse environment with temperatures up to 85°F and occasional exposure to freezer conditions at -10°F. Workspaces may be confined, requiring consistent exposure to noise levels exceeding 85 dBA. Adherence to safety protocols is essential, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed footwear. The position necessitates the ability to perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently.

Physical Requirements

Must be capable of standing and walking for the duration of the shift. Ability to lift and carry hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing up to 50 lbs continuously. Must be able to push or pull up to 100 lbs consistently. Requires navigating manufacturing equipment and facilities, including repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, stooping, squatting, and twisting. Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights as necessary. Must regularly use hands to handle, grasp, and control objects with good grip strength and manual dexterity. Occasional exposure to moving machinery is expected. Must successfully complete a Pre-Employment Physical.

Compensation:

$17.00 per hour
