Job Summary

MJ CARE INC is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional educational services to children with exceptional educational needs. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for organizing, developing, and implementing a school-based speech-language pathology program that meets the unique needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive speech-language pathology program that aligns with the educational goals and objectives of our students.
    • Provide direct and consultative services to children with exceptional educational needs, including assessments, evaluations, and therapy sessions.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure that our students receive the best possible support and services.
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure that all parties are informed and involved in the speech-language pathology program.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, including assessment results, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
    • Prepare and submit reports to parents, educational staff, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and technologies in speech-language pathology.
    • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a school accredited by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Experience
    • 1+ year of experience in speech-language pathology, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
    • Knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, practices, and technologies.
    • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a variety of educational settings, including schools and clinics. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines. The Speech Language Pathologist must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and travel to different locations as needed.
