Job Summary

MJ CARE INC is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional educational services to children with exceptional educational needs. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a school-based speech-language pathology program, providing direct and consultative services to children and educational staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Organize, develop, and implement a school-based speech-language pathology program that meets the needs of children with exceptional educational needs.
  • Direct and Consultative Services: Provide direct and consultative services to children and educational staff to support their speech and language development.
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct evaluations and assessments of children referred to the program, interpret evaluation findings, and prepare written reports.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in the development of Individual Education Programs (IEPs) by contributing educationally appropriate speech-language therapy and related goals and objectives.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records, including daily documentation, Medicaid billing logs, IEPs, and quarterly and annual progress reports.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience: Experience working with children with exceptional educational needs in a school-based setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with educational staff, and knowledge of federal, state, and local guidelines related to speech-language pathology services in schools.
