Qualifications:

- At least one year of proven teaching experience with special needs students, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, is required.

- Physical capabilities include the ability to stand or sit for long periods, see and read various materials, hear and understand normal speech, and follow both oral and written instructions. This role may involve frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Role Overview:
- Setting: Elementary | Social Emotional (DELTA) Program

- Contract hours range from 37.5 to 40 hours per week, adhering to the academic district calendar.
As an Educational Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tailored instructional activities and lessons to a diverse group of special needs students facing significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges (K-12).
- Evaluating each student's unique academic and behavioral requirements, customizing the curriculum accordingly, and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed.
- Maintaining a safe and conducive classroom environment.
- Collaborating with regular classroom educators, administrators, and behavioral support staff to integrate students into mainstream educational settings.
- Documenting and maintaining essential data, including attendance and academic performance.
- Establishing and upholding classroom rules and standards to foster a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
Compensation:
- Starting hourly rate of $55.
- Based on a 37.5-hour workweek: $2,062.50 paid weekly.
- Total annual compensation for the academic year: $74,250.
