Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Childcare Coordinator to join our team at the Austin Stone Community Church. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating childcare events, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and providing excellent support to our congregation staff team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate childcare events, including planning, execution, and evaluation
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children, adhering to our child and student safety policies
  • Communicate effectively with the KIDS Ministry Director, congregation staff team, and childcare contract workers
  • Recruit, screen, and manage childcare contract workers to meet the needs of our events
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and stewardship
  • Provide administrative support to the KIDS Ministry Director and congregation staff team
Requirements
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Previous childcare experience
  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Pass a screening process, including a criminal background check
  • Ability to engage and interact with children
  • Thorough knowledge of our child and student safety policies

  • Leadership Skills: ability to recruit and manage childcare contract workers

Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as a computer keyboard, mouse, and similar machines.
