Job Summary:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a skilled Test Engineer 3 to support the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program. The ideal candidate will have experience in executing test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space.
Responsibilities:
- Execute test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space.
- Understand and work with RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS.
- Develop and maintain programming and scripting skills, including experience with RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and test of Space Payload systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or equivalent experience.
- High School diploma with at least 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance, or defense industry work experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance.
- Willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends for several months continuously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test.
- Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment.
- Programming skills in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code.
- Scripting skills in Python or Tcl for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
Education:
High School Diploma is required. School must be accredited.
Work Schedule:
9/80 workweek. Job is 100% on site. Willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends for several months continuously.
