Job Title: PCM Systems Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled PCM Systems Test Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA) team, you will play a critical role in the development and testing of advanced microelectronics systems.

Job Summary:

The PCM Systems Test Engineer will be responsible for leading and supporting test and test development activities for superconducting electronics development. This includes developing automated testing procedures for the characterization and validation of fabrication methods in superconducting devices, supporting the current and future development of test platforms within function, cost, and schedule constraints, and documenting and implementing test requirements and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support test and test development activities for superconducting electronics development.
  • Develop automated testing procedures for the characterization and validation of fabrication methods in superconducting devices.
  • Support the current and future development of test platforms within function, cost, and schedule constraints.
  • Document and implement test requirements and procedures.
  • Review test plans for accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile data and help to define changes required in testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, and new testing requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a similar technical discipline with 2 years of related experience, or 0 years with a Master's Degree or a PhD.
  • Must be available to work second shift (2 PM - 12 AM) for approximately 12 months after training.
  • Proficient in the use of at least one of the following programming languages; MATLAB, Python, C, or C++.
  • Well-established trouble-shooting and system integration experience.
  • Strong analytic skills and familiarity in performing statistical analysis.
  • Knowledgeable in techniques used in the fabrication of Integrated Circuits as well as a basic understanding of device physics principles.
  • Experience programming and automating test hardware.
  • Experience developing small/medium-size applications in Python/MATLAB.
  • Experience leading projects with the ability to communicate effectively to team members both written and verbally.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with poly.
  • Experience in superconducting electronics and associated test platforms test platforms.
  • Familiarity working with cryogens and/or cryogenic test systems, wet or dry.
  • A working understanding in Python data science libraries such as Pandas/NumPy/SciPyb/PyQt5.
  • Experience in multithreading/multiprocessing.
  • Fluency in the use of relational databases management system, SQLite.
  • Adept at leading small teams of engineers and/or technicians.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements.
