Business Center Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Center Manager to lead our banking branch in Mountain View, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing sales, operations, and corporate/regulatory compliance to meet assigned lending, deposit, and fee income goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, lead, and direct a branch with regards to sales, operations, and corporate/regulatory compliance to meet assigned lending, deposit, and fee income goals.
  • Responsible for staff management and development, including performance evaluations, promotions, salary recommendations, and disciplinary action.
  • Provide suitable credit, deposit, or other banking services, as well as counsel and advice to best meet clients' needs.
  • Develop programs to maximize branch profitability, minimize risk, and improve customer service and product knowledge.
  • Responsible for acquiring, expanding, and maintaining client relationships through both inside and outside business development activities.
  • Analyze risks and profitability of assigned client portfolio to ensure ongoing profitability and conformity with credit terms.
  • Responsible for ensuring the successful processing, underwriting, and approving of loans within assigned limits.
  • Negotiate loan terms and conditions in accordance with bank policy.
  • Remain well-versed in economic and financial concepts and developments relating to clients.
  • Review branch reports for compliance and accuracy.
  • Responsible for community development and relations.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and 3+ years of banking management or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Strong Commercial lending experience with Investor Real Estate, Owner Occupied CRE, C&I, Lines of Credit, Equipment Loans, Letters of Credit, SBA, etc.
  • Business Development experience a must.
  • Basic working knowledge of branch/banking management, operations, policies, procedures, banking products, and lending concepts.
  • Knowledge of business development and sales within the financial industry.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, mitigate risk, build relationships, and work with a variety of clients, employees, and management.
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations.
  • Good problem resolution and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage staff.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $100,000 - $155,000 annually, depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location.
