Kitchen Assistant

The Kitchen Assistant operates under the guidance of experienced kitchen personnel to acquire fundamental culinary skills necessary for a cook or chef position through practical training. Responsibilities include assisting in food preparation by slicing vegetables, preparing salads, and assembling main dishes. The role also involves supporting various kitchen tasks such as food storage, dishwashing, sanitation, and table setup.
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience and knowledge of basic culinary tools being advantageous. They must demonstrate a customer-focused attitude, reliability, self-motivation, organization, and possess strong English communication skills, effective time management, and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with light food preparation tasks such as baking bread, preparing salads, appetizers, and desserts
- Prepares ingredients for cooking by washing and chopping vegetables
- Maintains cleanliness of work areas and equipment utilized in food preparation
- Follows safety and sanitation protocols
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Basic culinary training or relevant experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of sanitary and safety practices is essential
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy items
