Position Overview: The Clinical Respiratory Specialist will operate within their professional scope to evaluate patients and formulate therapeutic strategies in collaboration with healthcare providers to meet individual patient requirements. This role encompasses providing urgent care, which includes assisting with or executing intubations, participating in rapid response situations, supporting C-sections, and addressing trauma cases.

Critical Care Responsibilities: In high-acuity environments, you will engage in multidisciplinary discussions, initiate and oversee mechanical ventilation, perform arterial blood sampling, and assist in conducting overnight oximetry assessments and bronchoscopies.

Outpatient Duties: In the outpatient environment, you will receive training to administer pulmonary function tests and may rotate through the laboratory as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A.S. Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited institution
  • CRT certification (RRT preferred)
  • Valid state licensure
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • NRP certification within one year of employment
  • PALS certification preferred
  • Experience with EPIC software preferred
