This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to drive growth and build relationships with key decision-makers in K-12 schools and public libraries across Illinois.

Job Description

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and transitioning leads to our internal sales team.

  • Develop and execute a prospecting strategy to identify new sales opportunities within K-12 school districts and public libraries.
  • Build strong relationships with Superintendents, Principals, Architects, Designers, Owners Representatives, Library Directors, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Cultivate opportunities for evolving learning environments (furniture, supplies, equipment, etc.) and assess client requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a hunting sales role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong relationships and experience working with K-12 education markets.
  • Familiarity with learning environments, furniture, and supplies.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work remotely and manage your own time.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
What We Offer

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, plus a variable commission plan that pays up to $25,000 at quota, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the education sector.
