Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team at Worlds of Fun. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing inspections, general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all plumbing systems within the park.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to requests from senior management and maintenance staff to perform plumbing-related tasks.
  • Assist the Oceans of Fun Maintenance Foreman as needed to ensure smooth operation of the park's plumbing systems.
  • Perform general laborer work as requested to support the maintenance team.
  • From blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instruction, perform general plumbing tasks including assembling, installing, and repairing water and drainage pipes, fittings, and fixtures using a variety of hand and power tools and standard measuring instruments.
  • Make standard shop computations relating to the dimensions of work and select materials necessary for the task.
  • Provide exceptional guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when interacting with guests or working with subordinates.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work areas and perform all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements.
  • Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meet Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adhere to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct, including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division-specific policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read material (including blueprints and drawings) to interpret and analyze content.
  • Ability to become familiar with and use fall protection equipment.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with senior management and seasonal employees in resolving problems.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Driver's License
  • 5-7 years of commercial plumbing experience required
  • HS Diploma/GED
