About the Role

Jeff Asbell Excavating & Trucking, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Carl Junction, MO. Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software to document repairs, parts usage, and repair times.
  • Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area, adhering to Corporate and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of safe equipment practices, engine repair, mechanical and electrical systems, and maintenance procedures.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possess the recommended minimum hand tools for a Diesel Mechanic.
  • Certifications and Education: Education and certifications are a plus.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 70 pounds safely.
