A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESIDENT SERVICES DIRECTOR

As a Resident Services Director, you play a vital role in our assisted living community. Alongside our managing director, you are responsible for the overall well-being of the residents in our care, acting as the managerial representative in the director's absence. Your responsibilities include overseeing staff, managing schedules, requisitioning supplies, maintaining medical records, fulfilling reporting requirements, and implementing policies and procedures. You will supervise caregivers, medication technicians, and nurses to ensure that residents receive the highest level of comfort and care. Additionally, you will assist with budgeting and marketing initiatives for our facility.

Throughout your day, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with residents and their families. When concerns arise, you will address them promptly and keep the managing director informed. You will also participate in interviewing prospective residents and their families, coordinating their transition into our community. With a diverse range of managerial tasks, your day will be busy yet rewarding as you apply your nursing skills to help residents feel at home.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESIDENT SERVICES DIRECTOR

  • Current RN or LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Certification in CPR and first aid
  • Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in geriatric care

WORK SCHEDULE
