Osteoimmunology Research Scientist

This faculty role offers the opportunity for secondary appointments in the Division of Rheumatology and/or the Department of Biomedical Sciences, both of which feature exceptional laboratories focused on inflammation and immunology, as well as the innovative Department of Computational Medicine.
The ideal candidate will possess a profound interest in translational research, aiming to tackle pivotal questions related to various musculoskeletal disorders, particularly emphasizing the immunological factors influencing bone pathology in the context of infectious and inflammatory conditions. We welcome applications from individuals across all immunology disciplines, utilizing both computational and experimental methodologies. The Institute particularly encourages candidates with a focus on spatial immunology and studies of the tissue microenvironment.
Cedars-Sinai's Department of Orthopaedics is recognized nationally, ranking #2 in the United States and #1 in California, as per US News and World Report. The department boasts robust clinical science initiatives and translational stem-cell programs in collaboration with the Regenerative Medicine Institute (RMI). KAI is situated in a modern laboratory facility, providing competitive workspace and access to a comprehensive array of well-maintained shared equipment, an Institute-based specimen-processing core, and a dedicated flow cytometry core. Our mission is to empower KAI members to concentrate on scientific endeavors rather than administrative hurdles, facilitating access to high-quality clinical cohorts and expertise in clinical musculoskeletal science. Compensation Philosophy:
We provide competitive total compensation, which includes salary, benefits, and additional incentive programs for our employees. The base salary range reflects a wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions, including knowledge and skills, relevant experience and training, education and certifications, as well as other organizational factors. This base salary range does not encompass our comprehensive benefits package or any applicable incentive payments for this role.
Pay Range: $71,094 - $235,019
Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree (PhD and/or MD) or equivalent
- Outstanding publication record in reputable journals
