This position may involve ongoing participation in a research team or a temporary engagement to provide specialized skills for a specific project.

It is important to note that Research Project Scientists are not expected to conduct independent research or establish a separate research profile, nor will they have teaching obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
- May serve as Principal Investigator for specific grants with approval from the supervising faculty member.
- Participate in scholarly publications and presentations as an author or co-author.
- Develop, modify, and implement advanced research methodologies and protocols.
- Assist in laboratory experiments and data analysis.
- Interpret, summarize, and compile research data.
- Potentially lead or mentor Staff Research Associates and Research Fellows.
- Support daily laboratory operations.

Individuals on an academic career path are expected to allocate some time to cultivate an independent research agenda.

Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Doctorate (Ph.D., D.Sc., M.D., or equivalent) from an accredited institution in molecular biology, bioengineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
A proven record of scientific contributions along with exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
