Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Wright State Physicians Inc. As an OBGYN LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and verify patient health history, gathering pertinent health data through physical assessments and electronic health records.
  • Provide basic patient care as ordered, including administering medications and treatments, and assisting with exams and diagnostic procedures.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and test results in medical records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Promote patient wellness by providing education and communicating physician advice and instructions.
  • Triage incoming calls, provide instructions to patients and families, and communicate patient status changes with physicians.
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatment, and maintain accounting of pharmaceutical samples and controlled drugs.
  • Schedule surgeries and tests as needed, and coordinate precertification for advanced imaging.
  • Prepare records in anticipation of consultations and follow-up visits, including coordinating image and pathology transfer from outside facilities.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to meet clinical operational needs and provide cross-coverage as needed.
