Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check-in patients in a professional manner, assessing their needs and ensuring they are met.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and contact information, and assist with completing necessary forms.
  • Scan and process paperwork, educating patients on financial assistance and directing them on next steps.
  • Promptly schedule appointments and proactively request payments from patients.
  • Support administrative functions, working reports, addressing patient concerns, and performing paperwork.
  • Coordinate with other care teams and employees to provide a seamless experience for patients.
Requirements
  • 6 months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
  • Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of customer service experience, especially in a hospital or medical office.
  • Problem-solving ability, analytical skills, self-motivated, and able to work well in a clinic environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Interact with others requiring the ability to communicate information.
  • Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
