Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing home and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for developmental delays and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Multidisciplinary Assessments: Participate in team assessments of the client's developmental status to identify areas of strength and need.
- Provide Developmental Services: Offer direct child development services and activities that are developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
- Develop Individualized Plans: Collaborate with families to develop an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) that addresses the child's developmental needs and goals.
- Document Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, including progress notes, reports, and assessments.
- Provide Supportive Services: Offer supportive professional assistance to families, including facilitating parent-child interactions and assisting families in advocating for their child's needs.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Special Education.
- Experience: At least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with young children, preferably in an early intervention or early childhood education setting.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to engage in meaningful relationships with children, families, and community partners.
- Certifications/Licenses: Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
