About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled E-Learning Content Developer to join our team at Horizon Controls Group. As an E-Learning Content Developer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing engaging e-learning content that meets the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development: Develop various types of instructional content, including videos, animations, interactive activities, written materials, and infographics, to support our clients' learning objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on digital materials to ensure deliverables meet Horizon Controls Group's standards and UX/UI design principles.
  • Collaboration: Maintain regular communication and collaboration with senior colleagues, clients, and subject matter experts to gather project design information and develop training materials.
  • Adaptation: Adapt content to current e-learning methodologies, incorporating tests, quizzes, gamification elements, videos, various types of interactivities, graphic elements, and other multimedia features.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an e-learning developer.
  • Instructional Design: Strong understanding of instructional design theories, practices, and adult learning methodologies.
  • E-learning Authoring Tools: Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 suite (Rise, Storyline).
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling you to convey complex concepts effectively.
  • UI/UX: Proficiency in UI/UX principles, focusing on usability and accessibility.
  • LMS: Knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems (Docebo platform preferred).
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail in design aesthetics and visual-based content.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Visual Design: Visual design skills and experience with Adobe basics (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Learning Content: Previous experience designing and developing learning content for software platforms/tools/engineering principles.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the Life Sciences or other regulated industry is highly preferred.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications: Training Delivery and Development Certification (desired) and Multimedia Design Certification (desired).
