American Sign Language Educator

Tutor Me Education is seeking dedicated and passionate educators to provide in-home tutoring services to students with special needs in Desert Hot Springs, CA.
About the Role:
- As a Tutor with Tutor Me Education, you will work one-on-one with students to help them achieve academic success and develop essential life skills.
- You will be responsible for creating customized lesson plans, adapting instructional methods to meet the unique needs of each student, and collaborating with parents and special education teams to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Our ideal candidate is a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for creating safe and inclusive learning environments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home tutoring sessions with students who have special education needs.
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans that align with each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Adapt instructional methods, materials, and assessments to cater to the unique learning styles and requirements of each student.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to instructional techniques as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education teams to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the emotional and behavioral development of students.
Requirements:
- Able to commute to/from Desert Hot Springs, CA.
- Previous experience with special education, accommodations, and working with students with learning disabilities is highly preferred.
- At least a Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to make learning fun and interactive, with the focus of the tutoring often determined by student questions and comments.
- Ability to pass a background check if required.
