Soliant is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in a school district near Palm City, FL. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff within the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality interpretation services to ensure equal access to education for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and students to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
- Conduct assessments to identify the communication needs of students and develop individualized plans to meet those needs.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in Sign Language Interpretation and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Degree in Sign Language Interpretation or a related field.
- State certification as a Sign Language Interpreter.
- RID, NIC, or qualifying EIPA score.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
