Job Summary:

Universal Logistics Holdings is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to transport pallets and materials throughout the warehouse
  • Sort and arrange products on pallets (picking)
  • Offload inbound material and place in proper designated locations
  • Replenish storage locations with overflow in a FIFO manner
  • Store product or load truck with pallets of product
  • Obtain daily order sheets from supervisor
  • Load orders following diagram that designs truck loads
  • Use forklift to drive pallets through warehouse to loading dock
  • Shrink wrap pallets for delivery
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Ensure cargo is identified and inspected before loading and unloading and compared to shippers
  • Document and handle discrepancies according to proper procedure

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of forklift experience
  • Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment
  • Be available for irregular work schedules and alternating work shifts
  • Ability to work up to 6 days per week
  • Ability to adhere to operational procedures and guidelines
