Lifeguard (Part-time) - Aquatic Safety Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lifeguard to join our aquatics team at a client site in the West Hartford area. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
  • Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
  • Respond appropriately to any emergency.
  • Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure a safe environment for members.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification required.
  • Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
  • Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Compensation

$16.50/hr.
