Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Core Responsibilities: This role requires a strong customer service focus, handling payments for parking services while managing traffic flow through the facility. Key duties include:

  • Consistently arriving at work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Counting the cash drawer at the start of each shift to confirm accuracy.
  • Collecting cash and/or validations while ensuring the security of funds.
  • Issuing change and providing receipts or tickets for each transaction.
  • Calculating or verifying bills based on customer tickets.
  • Operating the cash register to process transactions accurately.
  • Providing pricing information for parking services.
  • Assisting customers with directions to various city locations.
  • Completing forms for lost tickets when necessary.
  • Addressing customer complaints independently or with supervisor assistance.
  • Answering phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the booth and surrounding area.
  • Conducting regular checks to ensure necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Reconciling shift transactions with cash on hand.
  • Documenting amounts received and vehicle movements while preparing shift reports.
  • Performing any additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements: To excel in this position, candidates must effectively perform all essential duties. The following qualifications are required:

Education and Experience: Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Availability: Shift requirements may vary based on hiring needs, including potential availability for 2nd and 3rd shifts or weekends.

Licensing: A valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations and the ability to make change is essential.

Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence, as well as communicate effectively in small group settings.

Reasoning Skills: Capability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions and address problems in standardized situations.

Additional Skills: Competence in using standard timekeeping methods, calculators, or credit card machines for transactions. A friendly demeanor is necessary for customer interactions.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this role include regular sitting, using hands for handling objects, and occasional walking. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
