Job Title: Market Data Engineer

Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking a highly skilled Market Data Engineer to join our Infrastructure & User Platform team.

This role will involve participating in the day-to-day management of Market Data and Trading environment at Natixis CIB Americas. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and monitoring Market Data and Trading Infrastructures, as well as managing vendor relationships and Market Data and Trading Systems Related projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Market Data back-end infrastructure monitoring and maintenance
  • Provide third-party Market Data and Trading Application Support & Enhancements
  • Manage Entitlements Systems and ensure cost-efficient solutions to service business needs
  • Prospect on new developments for new platforms and ensure good delivery of Market Data Content throughout the organization
  • Proactively monitor, analyze, and document Market Data infrastructures components to ensure maximum uptime in connectivity, reliability, redundancy, and operation effectiveness
  • Work with internal and external IT auditors to provide necessary audit evidence and documentation
  • Manage the monitoring system(s) for Market Data infrastructures, develop monitoring requirements, maintain alerting and escalation policies, and produce periodic system health and utilization reports
  • Oversee and coordinate new implementations, provide ongoing Market Data and Trading related support of end-users' applications, and analyze requirements to provide design and implementation recommendations
  • Design and maintain Market Data and Trading system & services documentation, plan and execute upgrades to Market Data and Trading systems and services, and document project requirements, propose solutions, conduct budget and ROI studies, manage project plans and execution, and report project status from start to finish
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related field with 5+ years of work experience in the Market Data field
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision, communicate work status to management and peers, take full ownership of assigned tasks, and work them to completion
  • Organized, flexible, results-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Good understanding of industry-leading Market Data technologies from a design, engineering, and troubleshooting perspective
  • Ability to convey complex technical explanations in non-technical terms related to problems, designs, etc.
  • Basic switching and routing, Firewall and Nating, Proxies, and Multicast Basic understanding

The salary range for this position will be between $145,000 - $175,000. Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. We also offer a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
