Oncology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
The Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Oncology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join their team in a specialty clinic setting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with patients requiring complex care and management of cancer-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient physical and mental condition through comprehensive examinations and medical histories.
- Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to identify patient needs.
- Prescribe and recommend drug therapies or perform procedures according to approved protocols, ensuring efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans based on assessments, evidence-based medicine, and professional guidelines.
- Counsel patients about health processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Maintain accurate records detailing patient treatment plans and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Acute Care Certified APRN certification.
