Role Summary:


PET/CT Imaging Technologist

Full-Time Position

The PET/CT Imaging Technologist will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks related to PET CT imaging:

  1. Conducts PET CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols, ensuring the evaluation of images for technical excellence and overseeing the completion of all necessary requirements.
  2. Assesses workflow to identify opportunities for enhancing patient care and optimizing operational procedures, offering constructive feedback to management.
  3. Delivers exceptional patient care and maintains high standards of customer service throughout PET/CT responsibilities.
  4. Educates fellow technologists on Radiation Protection and exposure protocols as the designated Radiation Safety Officer.
  5. Maintains open communication with management regarding updates to the Radiation Protection Program as the Radiation Safety Officer.
  6. Acts as the primary contact for inquiries related to radiation exposure or the Radiation Protection Program in the absence of the Radiation Safety Officer.
  7. Coordinates technologist coverage for the imaging department as necessary in the absence of supervisory personnel.

Qualifications:


PET/CT Imaging Technologist

Full-Time Position

Candidates for the PET/CT Imaging Technologist role must fulfill the following minimum qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program (Associate Degree in radiologic technology preferred).
  • Licensure and Certification: Must hold a valid registration with ARRT (N) or NMCTB and possess certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services (CMRT).
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from the Texas Medical Board is mandatory.
  • Current CPR certification is required.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
