Job Title: Police Officer

Richard Bland College of William & Mary is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our Department of Campus Safety and Police. As a Police Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Job Summary:

The Police Officer will be responsible for enforcing state laws and college policies, conducting thorough patrols, responding to emergency calls, and providing excellent customer service to the campus community. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to community policing and a passion for serving others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce state laws and college policies
  • Conduct thorough patrols of the campus and surrounding areas
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to the campus community
  • Participate in community policing initiatives and programs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current certification as a law enforcement officer by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services
  • U.S. citizen
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid Virginia driver's license
  • No convictions of felonies and/or serious misdemeanors
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Law enforcement experience, preferably in a campus environment
  • Completed FEMA/NIMS IS-100 and IS-700
  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR
