Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our research team at the Arizona Veterans Research and Education Foundation. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory experiments, including immunohistochemistry and molecular biology studies, as well as caring for laboratory animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct immunohistochemistry and molecular biology experiments, including RNA isolation, PCR, and western blot analysis
  • Care for and handle laboratory animals, including drug delivery and post-surgical care
  • Obtain biological samples and tissue, followed by tissue processing and analysis
  • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and results
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and preparation of reagents
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment, or four years of research experience
  • Knowledge of microscopes and histology laboratory techniques
  • Experience with rat/mouse animal handling in a research environment
  • Knowledge of rodent basic biology, handling, and behavior testing
  • Knowledge of R or other statistical computing language
