Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Sonora Quest Laboratories. As a leading integrated laboratory system, we perform over 97 million diagnostic tests per year and are committed to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA '88 in an accurate and timely manner with supervision.
  • Assist with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect, receive, and process biological specimens into the laboratory.
  • Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science.
  • Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation 42CFR, including US military medical laboratory procedures training courses.
  • Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy in departments where applicable.
  • Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and knowledge of medical terminology.
