Job Summary

The Granite YMCA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Lesson Coordinator to lead our swim lesson program at our YMCA of the Seacoast location in Portsmouth, NH. This role will play a key part in implementing and managing our swim lesson program, working closely with our Aquatics staff and Swim Instructors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support Aquatics staff in the absence of the Aquatics Director
  • Develop and implement the swim lesson program, including direct program service to a variety of ages and abilities
  • Maintain effective relationships with members, participants, and team members
  • Ensure safety rules, policies, and guidelines are consistently applied and implemented
  • Perform equipment checks and ensure necessary equipment is available

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience teaching swim lessons or competitive swimming experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead related sports programming
  • Flexibility to work part-time or full-time hours, with a preferred availability of Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
