We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants (PAs) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) to enhance our growing critical care team. The ideal candidates will utilize their specialized skills and knowledge in ICU settings to elevate patient care, engage in research, and provide leadership within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient health assessments and document findings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, ensuring clear communication of procedures to patients and their families.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute illnesses in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Monitor patient status and initiate emergency interventions as necessary.
- Perform a variety of procedures, including the management of arterial and central venous catheters, CPR, and airway management.
- Administer life-supporting medications in accordance with established protocols.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible shift requirements, including both day and night shifts.
- Weekend shifts are part of the schedule.
- Shifts are typically 12 hours, either from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing with an Acute Care Certificate or completion of Physician Assistant Studies.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an ICU RN or 3 years as an APRN in an ICU setting.
- 3 years of experience as a PA in an ICU or 5 years in a surgical specialty.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current and valid Florida APRN or PA-C License.
- Acute Care Certificate is required for APRNs.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
- FCCS and ATLS certifications are highly preferred.
