Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned, digitally proficient leader to take on the role of Director of Advice & Investing Experience within our Client Experience division, specifically targeting Individual Investors. This pivotal leadership position will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction, priorities, and transformative initiatives necessary to develop top-tier investment solutions and experiences for our clientele. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in spearheading large-scale digital transformation projects within the financial services sector, a proven history of creating innovative digital products and experiences, and a robust background in leading cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

This team is at the forefront of driving innovation and change through our B2C digital platforms, collaborating closely with engineering, design, and various stakeholders to maximize impact and achieve both client and business objectives. This role will report directly to the Head of Client Experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the self-service strategy for the organization, utilizing insights from clients, team members, and other stakeholders. Translate this strategy into actionable short-term and long-term goals, while monitoring execution, market dynamics, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership across various business units to ensure that the necessary strategies and capabilities are in place to fulfill business initiatives and requirements. Recommend adjustments to optimize benefits, costs, speed, and quality of delivery in response to evolving needs.
  • Lead a high-performing organization comprising 3-5 agile development teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support. Manage vendor relationships for prioritization, planning, and execution of initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Success will be evaluated based on the delivery of intuitive and engaging products that enhance client investment outcomes. This role is accountable for the quality, resilience, and performance of all developed solutions.
  • Drive initiatives from conception to execution to enhance team productivity, quality, and velocity in achieving set objectives. Promote best practices in product delivery frameworks to enable capabilities and improvements within established scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging technology trends and identify opportunities for leveraging technology to drive business improvements and competitive advantages.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience, including 5+ years in a management role.
Preferred:
  • 10+ years of experience in application/software development and delivery within asset management, investment services, or financial advisory.
  • MBA or other recognized industry accreditation (CFP, CIMA, CPA).
  • CSPO, CSM, or SAFe certification.
  • Established network within the industry.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of technology infrastructures, digital ecosystems, and platforms.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues to various organizational levels.
  • Advanced analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in developing complex business cases.
  • History of collaborating with vendor partners and consultancies in strategy development and execution.
