Program Coordination and Accreditation

The RN Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating a department or facility-wide program to obtain and maintain accreditation/credentialing through a state or national governing body. This position requires collaboration with leadership in assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the designated program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the designated program.
  • Assist in program, center, and/or service line development, managing the accreditation process, and ensuring continuous compliance with state and national standards.
  • Maintain relevant policies and procedures, patient education, outcomes data collection, quality improvement efforts, and education of relevant staff and patients in the various aspects of the specific patient population with a focus on patient safety.
  • Administer appropriate required Committee(s) and attend required meetings for program compliance.
  • Support the development of written protocols and education of nursing staff detailing the rapid communication and basic response to critical patient findings that are specifically required to minimize delays in the diagnosis and treatment of serious adverse events.
  • Coordinate and maintain ongoing patient tracking, abstracting, and data entry into necessary Registries. Work closely with team members to ensure timely submission of outcomes data to the Registries.
  • Responsible for quality and performance improvement activities that comply with state and national guidelines to include the American College of Surgeons, the Joint Commission, and CMS criteria.
  • Support the operational needs of the Program. Oversees the monitoring of the effectiveness of existing processes toward improving quality outcomes. Anticipates future requirements for maintaining expertise in area. Responsible for the Program assessment and collaboration of business development.
  • Ensures all staff are in compliance with mandatory training and credentials.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in Clinical nursing.
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider.
  • Registered Nursing License.
