Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating a department or facility-wide program to obtain and maintain accreditation/credentialing through a state or national governing body. The RN Program Specialist collaborates with leadership to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the designated program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess and plan program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Assist in managing the accreditation process and ensuring continuous compliance with state and national standards.
  • Maintain relevant policies and procedures, patient education, outcomes data collection, quality improvement efforts, and education of relevant staff and patients.
  • Administer required Committee(s) and attend meetings for program compliance.
  • Support the development of written protocols and education of nursing staff on rapid communication and basic response to critical patient findings.
  • Coordinate and maintain ongoing patient tracking, abstracting, and data entry into necessary Registries.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure timely submission of outcomes data to the Registries.
  • Responsible for quality and performance improvement activities that comply with state and national guidelines.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in clinical nursing.
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Registered Nursing License.
