We are seeking a highly skilled RF and Signal Processing Engineer to join our team in the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced wireless RF communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop algorithms and software for RF and signal processing applications
  • Develop C/C++ or equivalent code to interface with developed hardware and associated interfaces (SPI, I2C, etc)
  • Integrate Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware/software components as appropriate
  • Evaluate and develop communication security protocols
Requirements:
  • Minimally requires a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or higher plus 14 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Additional experience and/or education are required for higher level jobs
  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred
Preferred Experience:
  • Software design
  • Signal Processing
  • FPGA development
  • Develop C/C++ or equivalent code to interface with developed hardware and associated interfaces (SPI, I2C, etc)
  • Integration of Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware/software components
