Shomrei Emunah, a vibrant Conservative congregation in Montclair, NJ, seeks an experienced and dynamic educator to join our team as a Senior Jewish Educator and Musical Prayer Leader. This 30-hour per week position requires an onsite presence on Shabbat, Wednesday, and Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead joyful and meaningful Children and Adult family services for all ages
  • Create engaging and interactive educational experiences for children and families
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials for K-7
  • Provide guidance and support to families through the B'nai Mitzvah process
  • Collaborate with the Rabbi, Director of Education, and staff to plan family programming and events

Qualifications:

  • BA in Jewish Studies or a related field (Cantorial or Rabbinic Ordination is a plus)
  • 2-5 years of experience in teaching and leading youth services
  • Comfort with innovative and forward-thinking approaches to instruction and services
  • A strong commitment to personal growth and professional development
